Edson Arantes da Nascimento is one of the best goal scorers in the world of football. He was born on October 21st 1940 in Três Corações, Brazil.              During Pele’s career, he had won 3 World Cups with Brazil and is the only player to do so. He is still the Brazilian team leader with 77 goals in just 92 games.               Pelé began his youth career with the Bauru Atlético Clube, where he led them to 3 consecutive season titles. Beginning his professional career, Pelé played with Santos of Brazil and the American New York Cosmos.              In the 1958 World Cup Semi-Finals, with Brazil holding a tight 2-1 lead over France, Pelé scored a fast hat trick that closed things off. Pelé is still the youngest player to do so.               Over Pele’s career, he is the leading scorer in all of football, with 1283 in 1366 games with Brazil’s Santos and New York Cosmos. Pelé won many individual awards during his career, and led his clubs to several titles.     Pele has scored 77 goals for the Brazilian National Football Team. He is just  81 goals away from the legendary American forward Mia Hamm. However, Pele is not known for his skill because he has been compared a long time against Diego Maradona.
